I have already disabled tracking in the OLED and I have added the tv to NextDNS but I would rather have a direct AdGuard app installed in it....is it possible to sideload it?
Yeah at my android phone I use the other Youtube Players but if I accidently fire off Youtube I use the Adguard Share to Adguard shortcut to filter the youtube ads. I was hoping the same possibility could exist in the ATT Box, but sigh the no HTTPS screening will kill it.
I would like to block the Youtube app when watching TV. The AT&T "cable box" is actually a small form factor AndroidOS box and they have an app store which is tied to google however it's being filtered so not everything shows up.
It's impossible to filter ads from apps that run the ads from the same domain as the app or otherwise you will just filter the domain. The only way to filter those ads is to run unofficial tweaked apps that remove the ad components. Like running YouTube vanced app to remove all YouTube ads...
Have you tried to configure your phone to use adguard as your dns provider when on cell?
Adguard settings -> DNS filtering and choose either adguard DNS or type in NextDns (it's what I use as dns) as your dns provider. However you have to setup a free account on nextdns.
Ok will try

Just posted this in tech support: https://forum.adguard.com/index.php?threads/latest-adguard-beta-is-not-blocking-most-of-the-things-on-android-11-beta.38746/
So yesterday I upgraded my Pixel 3 to Android 11 beta and it seems that Adguard is not blocking many things that it used to block before. For example the inherent Chrome browser bypasses all the blocks even though Adguard shows it selected as blocking both http and https. Same goes for apps...
My current data saved in 3 weeks is 7.67 GB and 74,137 ADS blocked and 8460 Trackers Blocked....I am sorry but if that is the case than I would have been blowing my monthly cap limit on my data plan each month whenever I didn't have AdGuard. I think this whole data saved is just selling point...
Ooops Missed the update button...still it would be nice to set how often do you want it checked i.e daily, 3 daily, weekly etc.
Ok will create a request
In Pihole you can tell how many rules are currently being used...I can't find that option in Raspberry version of Adguard Home.
Also, is there a way to force and update of the rules? Or set a cron job to update the rules every x amount of hours?
