@vasily_bagirov Thanks so much guys, I appreciate the effort! Are you saying though that there is no way to fix this? Or you are looking into it?
Also would this not be the same behavior with all of the other "compatible" VPNs that are on the linked list?
Further I think your update to that...
Ok so after more testing I think I had the wrong server that I put in. I also found that any DNS I chose from the other options would work and block ads. So I found the correct DNS servers for Windscribe and put those in as custom and it IS working.
However, I feel this is a work around for and...
This was a good thought, sadly no matter which way everything is activated this lets ads through. When I run the tests it does show the correct ip and dns addresses though.
Even running only Adguard system-wide and the windscribe dns, ads are not blocked.
Windscribe does offer a free service...

I am starting a new thread to hopefully get some response on this. I am using Windscribe VPN and Adguard Pro for iOS.
When first connecting to Adguard and then Windscribe DNS traffic is not sent through Windscribe at all. Which I think is why it is blocking ads. But...
So more of what I found. When connecting to Adguard and then windscribe DNS traffic is not sent through Windscribe at all it seems. Which I think is why it is blocking ads. But it is leaking all of my DNS traffic to my ISP. It is my thinking that it should run like this: Adguard gets DNS...
Not specifically. Mine stops working when I connect to wifi (I think). Must be something to do when both VPNs establish their connection again that my actual VPN is taking precedence with the dns or something ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Ok here is more of what I found out.
When I am on cellular and Adguard system-wide is turned on first, then windscribe, it works. However, when my phone connects to wifi it stops working and I get ads again. I then have to turn off both windscribe and Adguard system-wide and turn back on in...
Edit2: Well sorry, I don't know what's going on. I turned windscribe back on and everything is being blocked again without Adguard DNS turned on.....did you guys change something in the background and are now just messing with me?! Lol o_O
Edit3: I'm so sorry for all the updates but I keep...
I use wifi when at home but it occurs on LTE also. I am using Windscribe VPN too. I will say that I have tried with windscribe turned off and it is the same results
Edit: Ok so I lied. I just tried again and disabled Windscribe, then disabled Adguard vpn. It seems to be blocking ads now with...
Yea, that's what is weird. It LOOKS like it's blocking stuff and I think it is blocking SOME, just not 100%.
If you need me to try a beta I probably can.
I am running iOS 10.3.2 beta 4. But have noticed the same on beta 2&3. (Beta 5 looks like it's available so I'll download that, uninstall and redownload to see if that does anything)
Edit: no change on beta 5
So in the interest of testing. I downloaded chrome and I get ads too while having system-wide enabled.
However, as soon as I turn on Adguard dns they go away, even visiting the sites @AnnaFrida posted. Just like in the other apps I referred to.
I have posted on Reddit (https://www.reddit.com/r/Adguard/comments/66etns/ios_pro_ads_in_apps/) and sent an email today with similar issue. I don't think system-wide is actually doing 100% on mine either.
Granted I'm not using chrome but the other apps all have ads. As soon as I turn on Adguard...
