lol I like your nuclear adjective word.
I agree factory resetting is really the stupidest thing to resolve any potential problems.
I have used 5X -> Pixel 1 -> Pixel 2 -> Pixel 4.
I think I have to resort to factory reset once or twice only. Once during after the firmware update of Pixel 2...
I see thanks for the clarification.
Now it is much clearer.
Good news is, I have not gotten a reboot since my encounter on the 12/Jan by enabling the mitigation feature.
So the mitigation done by AG helps to reduce the frequency of reboot.
Is there a compromise of performance by this mitigation?
If no compromise, why can't the mitigation eliminate the reboot completely?
The latest AG update does help.
I have not gotten a reboot so far.
As for Google fix, I doubt so. Otherwise, AD staff would have made an announcement here.
That's why I emphasize that a mitigation is necessary instead of relying on Google fix.
I wonder what mitigation was done. Is there anything that is compromised? ie performance?
It's true I did not encounter any reboot after the latest AdGuard update.
I have asked this before and I want to ask again.
This method is being used randomly throughout the day.
Why is the soft reboot happening almost periodically?
I already mentioned there might be a conflict of interest. That so called getConnectionOwnerUid function is probably used by AdGuard only.
If Google doesn't fix, so can we safely say AdGuard for Android is dead ???
If Google doesn't fix, AdGuard has to find a workaround. There must be an alternative for Android 10 users.
Sooner, more and more phones will be migrating to this version.
I am still keeping to my premium AdGuard. I thought of subscribing to a few more licenses but this issue is stopping me...
Hi avatar,
Kindly help us to understand.
When you say the following method has a problem, would't the symptom be happening randomly throughout the day? Because AdGuard should be using the method randomly throughout the day as and when the user is using the phone.
By why is the rebooting...
Ah I see. At least, we know more about the specifics.
As someone mentioned and if Google doesn't fix it, I hope AdGuard does some work around in the mean time.
Thanks.
AdGuard and 10, I'm not sure if Google will try to resolve because it means a conflict of interest as they are relying on ads income.
How about other VPN issues with 10?
