    London TFL Mac address tracking

At the moment no, adguard can not touch or change the mac address due to the way its used, and android is meant to randomise it to prevent tracking but TFL have found a way to track users from tracking the mac addresses of devices that just ping their wifi points. So either android is not...

    London TFL Mac address tracking

No they track the WIFI mac address, but bluetooth also has a mac address. Since we can not change or hide the mac address it is only a matter of time until websites, and organisations as TFL have done move to tracking by mac address as that can not be changed so technically everything Adguard...

    London TFL Mac address tracking

Interestingly enough some researchers have just proven how the mac address randomisation of Bluetooth does not work and you can track the users: https://www.theregister.co.uk/2019/07/12/untraceable_bluetooth_exposed/ So unless we really randomise our mac address all our stealth attempts are a...

    Bandwidth saved

I have to admit it would be cool to know the stats on what was blocked like pi hole does but i guess out of curiosity, as i have adguard on android i have an idea of how bad the situation is, i think roughly 20-30% of my data is saved due to adguard a month, so i would guess this could be...

[Resolved]Proxy does not filter adverts from https sites

When i turn on the proxy server in adguard it helps to hide my ip better but any sites i access which are https:// no adverts etc get blocked or filtered. Is this normal behaviour or is something wrong with my installtion ? Thanks

    Default Referrer

I noticed that when i have adguard fake the referrer it puts in the referrer something like "adguard" i noticed a few websites like microsoft pick up on this and it seems like various websites can pick up on this and then auto-block us? Surely we should not be advertising to websites and apps...

    Tracking via IP

Just saw this article about a company tracking via IP address: https://www.theregister.co.uk/2019/07/10/netlify_log_analytics/ and TFL tracking by mac address: https://www.wired.co.uk/article/london-underground-wifi-tracking Interesting stuff how they are trying to get around ad blockers and...

    London TFL Mac address tracking

Windows has removed the mac randomisation feature from the latest build of windows (1903) so perhaps a good reason to add this as a feature if possible? Our mac is something we are sending out and never changes so could be tracked ?

    London TFL Mac address tracking

From my understanding the mac on android can only be changed if you have a rooted device, so is this possible for adguard to do on a non-rooted device? Or perhaps something else to thwart tracking via mac address?

    London TFL Mac address tracking

TFL for London who operate the London underground have started tracking users via their mac address, your mac gets recorded when it pings a TFL wifi hotspot not when your connected only when pinging it. So the stealth tracking we have in the adguard app is kind of defeated, is there any plans...

    WebRTC leak suppression

Awesome that makes sense, thanks :)

    WebRTC leak suppression

How about having an option in the adguard menu to disable WebRTC Connections as a Yes/No ? That should satisfy most people's requirements for this and make it easy for people to enable/disable it.

Help me impinge on Auto-playing Videos!

I am with you on this, i really despise the culture of auto play video, auto-play video is an annoyance and i think this would make an awesome addition to the adguard extention for chrome / firefox and the windows/android app. One positive outcome of having this option in all Adguard products...

    HTTPS Filtering

Help me impinge on Auto-playing Videos!

I can see both arguments here for/against for Adguard to auto-block auto playing video, but i would say a website which auto-plays video/audio is an annoyance, same way as we class alot of social media widgets as an annoyance rather than a threat (malware/phishing/tracking) or general adverts...
