1Weather

I've just purchased Adguard and the first app that I've tried it on is 1Weather and the first thing that I see is an ad at the bottom of the page.

I'm sure I'm being a compltee dummy, but can someone tell me why I see these ads ? I read on this forum that some apps use https to deliver ads and that AdGuard can't deal with those yet. Is that the case ?

Many thanks in advance for any help/advice.

Sorry - probably being very stupid, but could you tell me where I can find the "Filter apps traffic" option ? I've been through everything I can find in settings and can't find that option.

BTW, I'm on version 1.0.671.

Many thanks,

Jeremy

Don't worry - just realised I was on a really old version. Have updated and now see that option.

I ended up purchasing a licence for 1Weather, so can't tell if that is working or not, but I also have the AccuWeather app installed and that is still showing ads. I definitely have "Filter apps traffic" enabled. I've tried restarting Adguard and have completely rebooted phone, with no luck.

Thanks.

What filtering method do you have selected in Advanced settings? If it's not High-quality, please choose it and see if ad's still there.

Oh, wow, this is VERY old version, you have missed quite a few major updates:)

Improved filtering quality:

Firewall, material design and DNS filtering:
http://adguard.com/en/adguard-android/release-notes.html#android-2.0.62

Lots of minor improvements and bugfixes:

And next major update is coming this week.

So you'd better update to the latest AG version:)

Was already set to High Quality, unfortunately.
hanks,

Still can't reproduce. Could you please send us an HTTP request log?

1. Open Adguard and go to "Settings".

2. Choose "Advanced" in the left menu.

3. Set "Logging level" to "Record HTTP requests". It's desirable to close all background apps that don't concern the problem beforehand.

4. Reproduce the problem and set the logging level back to "Default".

5. Send us a message from program by choosing "Send Feedback" in the menu. Don't forget to check the "Send detailed system info" checkbox under the text field.

6. Post your ticket ID here.

Hi!

Thank you for the ticket!

I see one missed ad network there, added it to mobile ads filter:
Code:
||amobee.com^$empty
Also I see one missed tracker:
Code:
||quantcount.com^$empty

@jeremymbwilson, please check updates and try 1weather app again.
You may also need to clear 1weather app cache (some ads may be cached).
