Dear beta-testers!

After two weeks of alpha-testing we've decided that current version is stable enough to start beta-test.

Thank you very much to all of you who was not afraid of unstable and buggy alpha version!

Auto-update to the latest beta-version is enabled now.

List of features in this version

+ Adguard now use new network filtration driver
No more redirect, no more conflicts with other software.

+ All conflicts Adguard has with other software are now resolved
+ Complete filtration of browsers in Modern UI mode (Adguard 5.6 did not filter Modern UI if Avast or Kaspersky is installed)
+ HTTPS filtration
- Proxy mode is for backward compatibility only. We plan to remove it in Adguard 6.0.
* Lot of bug fixes

The current available beta-version is 5.7.912.4751.

UPDATE

Version 5.7.916.4775 has been released.

Fixes in this version:
1. Some random connection resets (including problems with https://addons.mozilla.org/ in Firefox)
2. Compatibility issue with Kaspersky Antivirus 2014.

The source of this issue is Kaspersky defect -- DNS resolving is very slow if Kaspersky Antivirus is installed.

3. Adguard statistics is fixed (it didn't work in previous beta-version).

UPDATE of Aug 19, 2013

New beta-version released - 5.7.922.4825

This release fixes some major bugs:

* Fixed random net::ERR_EMPTY_RESPONSE errors in Chrome-based browsers
* Fixed Kaspersky Internet Security 2014 compatibility issues
* Fixed (partially) compatibility issue with Avira's Web Protection module.

We now use TDI-driver by default if Avira's Web Protection module is in use.

UPDATE of Aug 26, 2013

Release candidate is ready -- version 5.7.942.4914.

- Fixed compatibility issue between Eset Nod32 and Adguard (windows 8, wfp-driver issue)
- Help file is updated
- Some minor fixes

--
Regards,
Adguard team

Confirmed, does it here too. Adding @@||mozilla.org$elemhide,content,urlblock,jsinject to the user filter is a workaround though.

I'm getting Adguard crashes by just disabling and re-enabling filtering for browsers (especially Firefox and Pale Moon). Anyone else confirm this one?

Other 'issues' that have been mentioned without anyone else confirming or commenting;

- Pale Moon icon in the browser section is using the SRWare Iron icon, not the Pale Moon icon.
- When you're trying to block an element in the Assistant and you click Advanced settings... it creates the expanded window below the visible drawn screen in all browsers. Screenshot here.

this might be a bug of adguard beta 5.7.912.4751

it always failed to load completely on https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/

the error message : The connection was reset

using palemoon 20.3b3 and firefox 23;

chrome and opera looks fine though
Cannot reproduce it.

What driver do you use in Adguard (look at Adguard network settings)?

Also we have found a bug with firefox and https in current beta-version (sometimes https filtration does not work in firefox).
Will be fixed soon.

found some issues while running Adguard with Agnitum Security Suite(x64) protection enabled:
getting random image corruption that is especially noticeable on forum posts with lots of pictures.
issues with video playback on websites; either the playback is jerky or video shows artifacts while playing(need confirmation on this one)
not sure about this one, but Adguard icon in system tray is missing after startup with protection in Outpost enabled.
all the above problems are gone if i exit the suite completely

also another incompatibility. seems that internet download manager is not playing nice with Adguard. getting blank pages with IDM running.

I get random no data received errors in Chrome, sometimes after auto-logging into sites like WordPress using LastPass. They're very rare though and can't be reproduced on demand.

I'm using the 4776 version for BSOD testing (good thing for Google Chrome's translate feature for the Russian sections of the forums) and I got a BSOD using uTorrent 3.3.1 build 300017 + teredo enabled (client) + Adguard v5.7.916.4776 + WFP driver. Do you need a minidump or something?

:)

Yes, we really need minidumps to analyze the problem.

corrupt downloads when using Adguard(WFP network driver enabled) alongside Outpost security suite 8.1. using another driver in Adguard solves the issue.
