False positive add it to exceptions and report to norton as a false positive.

Is Product Tamper Protection some sort of HIPS implementation?

Hi , no its not HIPS. Norton product tamper protection stops other software making changes to Norton itself , so I guess Norton sees Adguard svc as a threat .

Adguard accesses other processes to get their properties (process ID and process name).
We use this data to decide if we should this process traffic or not.

My guess is that Norton protects it's own process properties from us.

    Nothing serious.
