Adguard blocking working in browser but not in apps

I have adguard installed and protecting all devices on my network.

I have blocked access to, for example, facebook in blocked services and when trying to access facebook.com with a browser it is blocked.

However, using the facebook app on the same device gives access.

What do I need to change?

Thanks for the reply.

I don't want to block ads in facebook/snapchat/tiktok etc, I want to block access to them completely.

Can this be done?
