AdGuard blocks Microsoft "Image of the day" on new tab in Edge

So I noticed the release notes for 7.7.2 addressed a fix for a new tab page in Microsoft Edge, but AdGuard is still causing issues. Mainly with the background image of the day on the new tab. You'll notice when AdGuard is on the background image doesn't show, but disabling AdGuard allows it. This has been going on for a while now. Is there a fix? I can't whitelist anything since the image is pulled from Microsoft servers (or something like that I read), so I have no idea what web address to whitelist, and updating filters doesn't fix it either.

Try the following:

1. Close MS Edge
2. Open Filtering log (AG -> Settings -> Ad Blocker)
3. Open MS Edge, new tab
4. Check Filtering log
5. Find the blocked record (image) and unblock it

I can't reproduce this. I suppose it'd depend on the filter lists you're using, perhaps?

I do have multiple filters in use.

And here is the filter log. It's ntp.msn.com that pulls the image. If I whitelist it the image loads.

If anyone else needs to whitelist it add this to your "User rules" whitelist: @@||ntp.msn.com^$document



EDIT - It's not a good solution though as whitelisting it allows ads on the new tab page, and I don't want ads, so I'll just deal with the image being blocked.

With this rule, you have unblocked all requests, so the adds passes.

In the 'Image' tab, find the record that blocks this image and unblock it (rule should be long)
