Adguard breaks duckduckgo search suggestions in Firefox

Hello

When Adguard is turned on it breaks duckduckgo search suggestions in the address bar in Firefox. I tested it on 2 devices running Android Pie. As soon as I turn Adguard off search suggestions work again. Is there a fix?

How is it breaking it? White page? No search results at all? For me it shows up fine.

Usually when I type in the Firefox address bar search suggestions (autocomplete, autofill) are showing up. If I disable Adguard it works as intended. With Adguard the search suggestins don't show up anymore. The page is loading fine.

Please list your filter settings and your stealth options. I sadly cannot reproduce on latest AdGuard for Android Nightly and freshly installed FireFox for Android from PlayStore.

I only see duckduckgo is not showing those suggestions if I use a special user agent and that is happening even without AdGuard for me.

I don't use any stealth filters. You can see my activated filters in the screenshot.

With your filter lists I could reproduce a few times. When I disabled Spyware filter it worked and now it works even when it is enabled.

Could you please try this rule in your user filter:

duckduckgo.com#@#img[width="88"][height="31"]

If that is not working, please try to disable Spyware filter. If you are not on the latest nightly build, please try to update by changing update channel.

Did you enable DNS blocking by chance? When I manually block ac.duckduckgo.com I do not get the suggestions anymore. Is filtering log showing anything blocked?

DNS blocking is disabled. Interestingly search suggestions are working as intended on the duckduckgo website. But they don't show up in the firefox address bar (they do if I disable Adguard). I changed the update setting to nightly and will report back when the newest update get pushed to my device.

I installed the latest nightly build but it's still the same. I also tried to change the default search provider to google but the search suggestions are not showing up either. It still only works with Adguard disabled.

I have same problem but with google suggestions (whipses) at Firefox browser.
When I have a Adguard turn on, google sugestions doesn't work. BUT, I remember that before I install HTTPS certificate, google sugestions work.
Therefore I add "google.com" to I dont know as say it in english but it can be something as whitelist for HTTPS filter at Adguard. This whitelist it at same menu as Instal HTTPS certificate to Firefox.
Now all work fine.

I don't use Google. Duckduckgo doesn't show any ads for me. I only added duckduckgo.com to the https whitelist.
