Everything about Adguard for Android beta test can be found here:
    https://blog.adguard.com/en/adguard-beta-test/

    Dear Adguard users!

    1. How to take part in beta test

Anyone can become Adguard's beta-tester, we have no special requirements.
All you need is to use Adguard, update to the beta-version when it is available and report bugs.

If you want to take part in beta test, send a private message to user vasily_bagirov with the following data:
    Your email address
Information about your device: Name, Android version, Version of OS kernel

All beta testers get a special beta-tester license key so you'll be able to test premium features.

    2. How to report a bug

Just post a message about this issue on forum.

    • Try to be clear in describing an issue. The more detailed your issue is described – the easier it will be to fix it on our side.
    • Don’t post few issues in one message. We also can’t welcome messages like “Aaah… Disaster! Nothing is working!”.
    • If your issue is related to User interface – it is highly recommended to make a screenshot and attach it to your post.

    3. How to install a beta version

Also the latest beta is always available at this link:
    https://adguard.com/apkb

Attention: Please don't forget to go to Advanced settings and switch your update channel to 'Beta'.

    4. Amazon AppStore beta testers

We are also looking for Amazon AppStore users who are willing to take part in Adguard beta test.
The situation with Amazon is a bit different: we will add your know your email to send an invitation.
In-app purchases are free for beta-testers so there is no need in a license key.

Amazon is a separate update channel, all updates are served by Amazon app.

    Sincerely,
    Adguard Team

Sounds nice. My Android ROM has a built-in ad blocker (via HOSTS) though. What will AdGuard do more?

IMO, using the HOSTS file to block ads only slows down the browsing experience.

Well, it's the easiest thing (and SlimSaberKat comes with it). That's why I asked about the features. :)

Well, it'll run as a local VPN service. The downside is, there's no HTTPS filtering support. I'm not sure if it's actually possible - avatar will have to fill us in on if it's even remotely possible.

Depends on the target platform. Assuming AdGuard requires a root'ed device, it surely works.

Nope, it'll work on non-rooted devices.

SSL filtering is possible but it's really hard to implement.

The main problem is that installing root cert for decrypting traffic is very complex and cannot be automated for non-rooted devices.

I'll update the post with Adguard for Android features.

Awesome! I do have a question though, if I do find a bug do I post a reply in this thread or post a new one?
