Hi all!

As you may know, we've just released first release candidate of Adguard 6.0! Hurray:)

So, what now? There still some minor bugs we should fix, also there is a big issue with BSODs and WD (which I hope will be fixed soon). Also here in Russia we have a VERY LONG new year holidays (1-10 January) and I fear pushing release out and going off work for 10 days may not end well:) So it seems that final version won't make it this year. But I think that shortly after these holidays end the final version will be ready.

I think that's fine and the best way to handle this, it'll give the RC build(s) some time to stew for any leftover issues. Just remember to bump up the copyrights to 2016. ;)

When can you check the bild.de issue where the correct rule blocks it for you, but not for me in my FF, Chrome, IE?

RC installed smoothly for me like the last two Beta versions tonight on Christmas Eve here.

RC auto updated fine and no troubles at all. Well done! @avatar and your team you deserve a big thanks for your hard and relentless work you're doing to make AG the best ad blocker ever and you're successful in this feat. If you have Adguard 6.x then no, just update via 'About' window.
If you have Adguard 5.x you don't have to uninstall it as well, however I recommend to do so

Hello

I have been using the paid released version for over a year. I installed the RC over the released version yesterday. No uninstall. Should I have uninstalled the old version first?

Do you mean there's no uninstall entry in Add/Remove Programs or did you just install v6 over v5.10? The latter is fine.

String "Update check" isn't being shown localized since this RC version here.

May I suggest adding a few Windows apps to the by default filtered apps? The News, Sports and Finance apps are all pre-installed Windows apps and are bascially just a wrapper for news websites.

Installing from scratch, with no adguard on my machine, this doesnt install correctly. If you install on its own without previous beta installed, it goes too fast and doesnt create an install in program files (86). I did run as administrator when installing as well. Any idea what could be causing this issue, and can anyone confimr this also?

It should not be necessary, but if you encounter any problems with updating to RC, it is better to uninstall the old version and try again.

This is not an expected behavior, of course. Are there any installation logs in %tmp% folder? They should have 'Adguard' prefix. Please send them to us if there are any.

Could you also check if polish oneskyapp translation for "Update check" matches the translation in the app, please?
