Adguard for Windows DNS settings does not work on windows 11

DNS setting by Adguard for Windows does not work after updating to windows 11 latest version. It uses the DNS set on my router. By manually setting the Adguard DNS IP address directly in windows 11 it works. Often when you refresh the Adguard testing page in a brief period, you will find that the DNS is working fine occasionally. I also tested on the website (https://1.1.1.1/help), it is similar once there is DNS from Cloudflar (router) and another time Adguard DNS.

I have found that this problem is caused by some Windows Defender mechanism. When Widows Defender is enabled, DNS in Adguard does not work. When I turn off Windows Defender DNS starts working properly. I installed Kaspersky and Bitdefender for testing. In part, this fixed the problem, but some mechanism is still blocking something because the DNS system in Adguard is reset at random times. I also performed a test removing all Antiviruses and blocked / disabled Windows Defender in the registry for a long time and here too everything worked fine even without a random reset. Sometimes the DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NXDOMAIN message pops up in Google Chrome "at this point, it resets my DNS and temporarily transfers me to DNS from the router and there is a noticeable decrease in Internet speed / performance.

Yes, I turned off Network protection by Defender UI. Now everything works fine for me. Do you have a similar problem?

Hi @Idanox and thanks for your reply, i tried to do this, at first it works but when i put my system to sleep and later wake up internet disconnected, moreover after that when i enable network protection to audit mode it disabled automatically .. for your info i am using Heimdal Security as anti virus .. any idea what could be the reason and how to fix?

I suppose it could be an incompatibility with third-party antivirus/antimalware software.

It works fine here too BTW, and I only use Windows Defender.

It works fine here too unless i put my system to sleep and when i wake up it stop working, also many using AG with different antivirus apps so there must be a solution because it's logically not possible that both the apps are incompatible ...
