AdGuard for Windows not working properly on the Edge browser

Hi,
I purchased a license and installed AdGuard for Windows.
I'm using the Edge browser, and I've noticed that advertisements are not blocked. Also, when I turned on DoH, and then went to https://1.1.1.1/help to check that DoH was indeed turned on, I got No in this line.
However, when I manually changed DNS in Control Panel, I got Yes in this line.
This is where I started to get suspicious, so I browsed in the Brave browser and browsed to the same page I browsed in the Edge browser. No ads were displayed in the Brave browser, while advertisements were displayed in the Edge browser.
Also, I noticed that the Chrome browser plugin does not work in the Edge browser (which uses the same engine). The only temporary solution I just found to continue using the Edge browser without advertisements was to install the plugin from the Microsoft Store. It turns out that the plugin there is different from the one in the Google store.
I would love for a solution to this problem.
Edge version: 87.0.664.66
Windows version: Windows 10 Home 1909 build 18363.1256

Thanks.

HTTPS filtering is already enabled.
I have Malwarebytes and everything is fine. I don 't think it's related.
I know there is a newer version of Windows 10 but I am refraining from updating right now because the previous update did not go well with me and I had to revert the previous version.
You're right about the Brave browser so I just downloaded Firefox and did the same test. The browser is free of advertisements. Only for the Edge browser it does not work.

Which ads do you mean? Searched results ads or in websites ads?

Did you enable Adguard to block Edge Ads? Check the filtered applications (AdGuard Settings > Network > Traffic Filtering) you will find the list of filtered applications. Check the box if edge is not checked or add the browser (edge) if it's not added.

I mean all types of Ads. AdGuard for Windows does not affect the Edge browser at all.
I checked the list of filtered applications and the Edge browser appears in the list and is checked .

So, check it and uncheck it.

Try this also, go to AdGuard Settings > Network > HTTPS Filtering > Uncheck and then check Filter HTTPS protocol, do the same for Filter websites with EV Certificates > Then press the reinstall certificate.

Try this too: AdGuard Settings > DNS > Select AdGuard DNS. Go back to home then update the filter lists.

I tried everything you suggested. no change.
I just want to mention again that this problem only exists for the Edge browser.

Curiosity sparked. What are the differences between Nightly, Beta and Release? I don't see any differences in those modes.

I tried clean install of AdGuard for Windows using the AdGuard Uninstall Utility.
still not working.

Well, it might be an incompatibility with Malwarebytes then. There's been a couple in the past.

Okay I closed Malwarebytes and everything is working fine!
Pretty weird, considering it has no effect on other browsers.
And in any case not a real solution but only a bypass. I hope the development team is aware of this.
Thank you for your time, patience and help isolating the problem.

You might try disabling the WFP driver in AG's Settings > Network and unchecking Use WFP network driver and see if that has any effect.

Incompatibilities happen from time-to-time.

Yeah, unfortunately the incompatibility with Malwarebytes may be unavoidable right now. In AG for Windows' advanced settings you can try checking the Use redirect driver mode option and/or unchecking the Intercept TCP connection requests option. That may or may not workaround the incompatibility, but if it doesn't, it's probably something that doesn't have a workaround at the moment.

@a.bubnov is there a GitHub issue on this one? I haven't found it yet.

It works fine unless you are using Malwarebytes unfortunately.
There is currently no good solution to this. Hope this will change soon.
