Well Adguard DNS doesn't get rid of the Fox Now ads before streaming video of a show. :( Also I don't care about cookies filter is not included with Adguard DNS :( Its ok I didn't expect it to be.

I just wish it blocked video ads on Hulu and other streaming services apps.

Like I previously said for Spotify, you should pay for these type of services. There is a minimum to reward the authors or producers. Everything cannot be free. Will you work for no salary?

To the last 3 replies; you can whitelist a pc with a subnet pi hole dns. You can whitelist sites, and you dont need a special modem. But it is kinda hard to setup for non tech savy users so i think there is money to be made for adguard selling preinstalled pi holes, maybe when their own software similar to pi hole. It sucks it has to come to that but this is war a war against ads

You can block ads in Spotify and streaming services by blocking them in your hosts file in Windows. Get a huge ad server list and replace it with your host file, done :D. Edit there is also a craked spotify for iOS without jailbreak, google it. No ads, free premium. I use Apple Music as I don’t support any company selling ads.

However, I tend to believe that the article is true and they've made the decision to ban all the device-wide ad blockers. Unfortunately, there's no easy side-loading on iOS, and we can't just live without the app store as we do on Android. So it is more likely that we'll have to re-think the "Pro" app and think up a new set of premium features, which will distinguish it from the free version. I hope they will at least allow us to have the DNS settings functionality.

The old "Pro" app will be left as it is now.

Yikes. For me this reaffirms my decision to never get any iOS devices again.

A couple of the ad blockers I used previously to adguard have recently been updated (5th July) & one has moved to vpn adblocking (blocks ads in apps & safari) so that was allowed through. Unless this is a really recent decision it'll be interesting to see if the adguard update is accepted or not.

Why not side loading ?

You can sell signing profiles instead of the pro app :)

What about telling Apple what Adguard Pro "really" does? Doesn't it just provide an option to change DNS servers system wide or did I miss something that it also blocks Ads directly on the device via the VPN? So, just in Case you get tied up by Apple, you could make this the Pro-feature: just simply provide the function to change DNS servers on cellular data or EVERY wifi network instead of having to set it for every single on every time you connect to a new network.
So, sell it to Apple (and users if it gets through review) with something like "In fact, Adguard Pro just simplifies your networking experience and enhances iOS by features left out by Apple: adding the OPTION (it's not even restricted to that) for system wide DNS settings."

Sorry if i disturb someone with my newly created account, I just had to get rid of that idea for the sake of the app i just bought last Thursday!
