Automatic configuration script - Proxy

    When using our automatic configuration script in IE in settings and Adguard is set to use the network settings from the system, Adguard can't get into the internet.
    Is there any way to let Adguard access the internet without opening the configuration script and searching the correct IP and port?

    EDIT: According to proxy script it returns "DIRECT", but that doesn't work too in Adguard.

    fastest: open cmd.exe, carry out in
    Code:
    netstat -an | find "ESTABLISHED"
    open a webpage or start a download in IE, type the same command again, find the differences
    netstat -anb does the same (just sloooow) if you look for "iexplore.exe"

    You can also use procgrams like ActivePorts

    P.S. the less apps running (having internet connections) the easier

    P.P.S. unfortunately M$ 'localized' even the command line. So if you're not using ENU you'll have to find out your languages equation of "ESTABLISHED"


    edit: just to remind you: you still would not know if the proxy is HTTP/HTTPS/SOCKS4/4a/5 but you asked for IP:port
    edit2: Saw that you're a WebFailer, so the command will be sth. like netstat -an | find "HERGESTELLT" (don't exactly remember, never use bloody german UIs as they break too many scripts)

    I found the proxy (at least the test said OK), but filter updates etc. are not working (already tried my Windows login with and w/o domain). Probably the proxy is not forwarding these ports or it uses socks etc. which Adguard probably doesn't support yet.

    I guess you're at work.
    If you really think f*ing the admin is a good idea then have a look for networktunnel.net


    P.S. but do not let the admin catch you - I beat the shit out of you if you circumvented our security measures and company restrictions over here

    I just want no ads, nothing to circumvent of security. And as everything must go through the proxy, there should be no security issue. We do have local administrator permissions on our workstation.
    Adblock Plus isn't blocking everything I need.

    then rather try proxycap (www.proxylabs.com) to socksify AG. it's a socksifier capable of full SOCKS support and NT-AUTH
    but it's another 30$

    I'd like to see what's in our log file.

    Adguard is capable of using such proxy configuration, so that's strange it does not work for you.

    I will try to get the log files during my break from my work computer tomorrow. The proxy configuration script is just a simple website which checks for hostname and then it says "return DIRECT" if I remember correctly.

    PAC system/procedure/?? has no checking at all, only directions.
    DIRECT meant no proxy at all.

    Your IT might be using a transparent proxy.

    Looks like we use the proxy server but it returns wrong response (404 Not Found).
    Can you contact your admins? I suspect there's something wrong with proxy settings.

    Thanks for the response avatar.
    Internet and all pre-installed applications work fine (even though not much applications are installed). And it is too much of a hastle to contact those admins as I would have to contact our helpdesk and they are not very easy to deal with.

    Maybe the issue is not with the app but with our server domain?

    Site is opening fine here in browser (Filter that enables removing of the ads from websites in Russian.).

    I've built simple app to check if there's an issue with how .NET framework works with your proxy:

    Just run it and tell me what is the output (OK or ERROR).

    WOW! Folks!

    What better argument could any admin have to restrict users than that Blaz is willing to run any app in the companies LAN?
    No judgement about avatar and/or AdGuard but any serious admin cannot allow such!
