Bug when updating in Safari/Chrome/Firefox

I am on MAC OSX with Safari/Chrome/Firefox Adguard 2.3.9

When I go to the Adguard settings and I click on "Check for filter updates"
I see on the right above corner that the filters got updated. That is correct. Great.

When I click again on Check for filter updates, I get the same message. Why?

It should show, no updates found. That is the normal expected behavior. Why is it doing like that?

Any fix?!

Ah, got it, the issue was on the server side, filters versions out of sync. Should be ok now.

Still the same, when updating all the filters and it tells me, English, Annoyance filter have been updated. Then I click again on update, it shows: "English filter is updated to version 1.0.87.35"

It will keep repeating. That's a bug

Try it right now, It will repeat, English filter is updated to version 1.0.87.35

I clicked update on all my browsers

Firefox: Keeps repeating and tells me a new version of english filter is here and it's updated 1.0.87.35, shows version English filterVersion 1.0.87.35. Updated 23 june 2016 at 19:00.
Chrome: No update found, English filterVersion 1.0.87.37. Updated 23 june 2016 at 23:00.
Safari: No updates found, English filterVersion 1.0.87.36. Updated 23 june 2016 at 22:00.

As you can see, they don't really update that well, only Chrome did..

Quick question: what if you clear browser's cache and check it again?

On firefox it did work now all of a sudden. No update found, English filterVersion 1.0.87.37. Updated 23 june 2016 at 23:00.
Safari still on No updates found, English filterVersion 1.0.87.36. Updated 23 june 2016 at 22:00

Cleared cache, whole browser history and still the same message.

Edit: But it should not work like this, when user clicks update, it should update to most recent version as it does fetch from the server. Not that it will work all of a sudden and showing up to date and filters are not up to date.

We previously had a bug with Safari extension caching, but it should have been fixed in v2.3.8.

To find out what's wrong this time I need some stable way to reproduce this. Any idea?

No, I really don't have a idea why such behavior is acting. It should update to the latest version when you click on update. It's not doing that, but I can't reproduce it with a way :/

The same on Windows, Chrome and Firefox. Everytime Alex tells me update filter, I do that and it tells me, updated, but it's not. I can't test proper and it's making a mess.

I think I know why is that happening. We currently have a complex double-caching system, first filters are cached on our server and then on the cloudflare proxy servers. When filters are rebuilt cloudflare cache is flushed, but the cache on our server could still be alive. We'll soon change the filters build script to fix this.

Great job guys. Now you can mark it as resolved.

Edit: It just happened to me in browser Firefox, Chrome and Safari

Filters updated successfully
"English filter" updated to version 1.0.89.52
"Spyware filter" updated to version 1.0.6.75
