Custom hosts lists in hosts file format

I was really excited when I read about Adguard's new custom hosts file support - but I can't get it to work.

I've put an entry in there as follows:

Code:
192.169.1.12 www.example.com
in order to direct that domain to my laptop. But I get a "not resolved" error in chrome.

Is it possible to do this using the new DNS filter? Or can it only be used for blocking?

Thanks @Chinaski

I did have a look at that (at the English version, though ;) ) but I still didn't get it to work.

You can see the syntax I used above, and it conforms to the one in the guide, except that it doesn't use `0.0.0.0` as IP address.

To be honest, I don't fully understand what you're trying to do. :)

I do not think it is possible to do this with DNS filtering rules.
