Did 7.6 completely break filtering for anyone else?

I updated to 7.6, and all filtering was broken in both browsers I have installed. Restarted Adguard still not working, then restarted the laptop and still not working. I then uninstalled and resintalled Adguard, still not working.

I uninstalled 7.6 and resintalled 7.5.3 and everthing instantly started working again perfectly. I don't really want to update again just yet, if it stops working I'll just have to mess around. Just wondered if anyone else had this issue or similar?

I have the same problem with 7.6, it stop working with my browser. I uninstalled 7.6, reinstalled 7.5.3 and everything work well. I'll keep using 7.5.3 till this bug is fixed

Oh, okay, so I didn't mess up the update, it means that there's definitely an issue with 7.6. I'm reverting to 7.5.3 right now, is there an ETA for a fix?

I haven't checked all the threads on this Forum about this issue yet so this may be out of date, i'm on the Beta Channel and something definately broke when 7.6 was released as a Final Release, i'm now on 7.6.1 and the issues persists.

There is no specific issue that i understand, it is simply that some advertising is no longer being blocked... or when it is blocked there are place holders that remain that say something akin to 'this page cannot be displayed' within a wepgage.

The most annoying thing for me is that the 'annoyances filter' seems to have stopped working altogether.

I make a habit of re-booting after every AG update so that can be ruled out as a potential cause.

Manual filter updates whether before or after a reboot make no difference for this issue.

Can you provide any examples where you think ads are not blocked? Also, what certificate is displayed on the websites?

Because aya888888 appears to be seeing a similar effect that i do i'll use the links he used to share the cerfificates as i see them on Win7 x64 IE11.

I hope it helps.

<Edited to include> I should have added that what he sees in IE11 on Win10 i can replicate with IE11 on Win7.

Fyi, I've now downgraded to 7.5.3 and removed the Beta Release channel on my AG Win7 PC, something was broken with 7.6 (and 7.6.1), what exactly was broken only time will tell but in the meantime except for filter updates etc, i won't be allowing AG to update on Win7.

I already see an improvememt in my browsing speed but whether that spills over into my normal usage only time will tell.

Currently running 7.6.1, and it does not work on IE11 (Win 10 64-bit).
I thought "uh oh, the day has finally come, Adguard no longer supports IE11."
Glad to see that it's a bug that is no doubt being worked on.

Given the lack of feedback from AG mods here i'm not so sure this issue is being worked on, all i know for certain is that the Beta builds of 7.6 worked well, it wasn't until 7.6 was released to the wider public that something was broken.

That said, the more people who report this issue the faster it'll probably be worked on.

Can you show some examples where you see the issues with IE (short clip)? On my side, it's doing well as always. Don't forget about cache and check that certificate is correct. In addition, please note that IE does not support some functions that modern browsers do.

Am i missing something that you need?

You appear to be asking me for information that i and aya888888 have already posted in this thread.

e.g. I inderstand that IE11 is out of cycle and may not work well with latest websites but that doesn't change the fact that when 7.6 was released as a final build something was broken, rolling back to Beta builds, or 7.5.3 cures whatever the issue is.

I've reported as much as i think i understand, the ball is in your court now to work out what the issue is... enough people appear to be reporting the same issue that you should be looking into it. Good luck.

Fwiw, i'm not sure what you mean by a short clip, what i see isn't embedded in videos on sites like YouTube, it is some advertising that isn't being blocked, or if it is being blocked then the place holders remain that appear as blank space on a web page.

Unitil 7.6 (and 7.6.1) were released this was a very occurance.
