Another thing,
Settings>Parental Control.
In this, while adding password it should not show the characters but shud be cryptic....suppose I'm a sys Admin and adding password to a client's PC and when my client is seeing the password it's not full password protection then.
Also, I found that I was able to change settings even after adding a password.....I thought it would have asked for a password but no.

With this new alpha version I saw that the issue with F-Secure and WPF driver is not fixed. I'd like to know how much we have to wait for this fix.

With this new alpha version I saw that the issue with F-Secure and WPF driver is not fixed. I'd like to know how much we have to wait for this fix.

That issue is simple to reproduce but we need time to collect driver log properly.

I like the way how in the Adguard addon, the filter log has the capability to create rules from itself, wud really like the same to be extended to the filter log of the program as well.

Hi !

I have premium license for several computers, but with one of them, Adguard says "unable to connect to the remote server" for the alpha v6 and another similar message for the v5,10, I don't know what is the problem, so I don't arrive to activate the software..
Somebody could help me? I have windows 8.1 on this problematic computer with windows firewall and defender.

Please try to disable the Windows Firewall and check again.
Everything else with Internet is working on that computer?

All is working well, except this activation problem and update filters, updating extensions and add filters seems to work.

in my personal account, there is the place with the serial for this computer so.. I don't understand, it's a problem of communication between adguard and the server..

I would try something, somebody could tell me how can I erase manually all traces of an old installation of adguard?

Thanks for your help but nothing changes after cleaning.
Now I can't install v5.10, it says it's already installed.
V6 can install but always the same problem for activation.

If you previously deleted the extensions from the Adguard Extension section in the Settings option and then you chose reset to default settings, the 'Adguard Extension' part doesnot reset to default.

when you are viewing a client's computer over Team Viewer and you chose to disable adguard protection on client PC, Team Viewer connection is lost. Noticed this on 2 PCs

It will ask you to enter password next time you'll try to access the Adguard UI.

That's why the password field is not encrypted - you can't see it without entering a password.

One thing you can try right now - go to Adguard's network settings and switch proxy from "Use system-wide" to "No proxy".

True for 5.10 because disabling AG protection also stops network filtering (which results in loosing all active connections).

In v6 it behaves different, to stop network filtering you must close UI also.

So, this was not yet fixed, you were not aware of this, it was different issue or this is ESET fault? When I had Bitdefender the issue was not present.

Parental control is not so popular to make it enabled by default.
Maybe we should make it's settings readonly when module is disabled?

Sorry, missed it. But how have you deleted default extensions? They cannot be deleted, only disabled.

Turns out there is a compatibility problem between Adguard for Windows Program and httpseverywhere addon.
When I had that addon(httpseverywhere) installed and functioning, AG was malfunctioning as said above.
Disabling and removing that addon fixed the working of AG.
So don't know what at fault AG or https everywhere or compatibility b/w the two.

New custom subscription:
When manually entering an IP address like "\\1.2.3.4" and a txt file in the path and then when you click somewhere else (doesn't matter where), the program hangs due to network check. Would be good if the user could have a button to abort the search.

EDIT: When only entering junk in the field like "345jko5aseljkf sadif023i0o rj ioaesi0f sia0f " or just the simple letter "a" or even when the field is empty the red block says invalid, but when I press on Install "EstonianList" gets installed.

Would be also good when the user enters something in the path field and then presses Enter button it would try to install it.

When I press on "Add filter" and I press on the close button in top right corner while it still says loading, the window gets correctly closed, but when Adguard got the list of filter subscriptions the window shows up which it shouldn't.


When removing a filter in confirmation window, when Exit button (top right corner) it shouldn't be possible to press on "OK" at the same time. When doing both, the confirmation window shows up again.



In extension install window when the user just presses on Install, nothing happens, no error message.
When entering a lot of junk into the path window, the red error message box gets very large, see attached screenshot:

When I continue to add crap into that field, Adguard crashes (tested in my Windows 8.1 x64 machine). Best would be to limited the path to 200 characters.

EDIT2: Filtered Apps add Application allows adding other files than executables, tested with a zip file from the internet "http://winhelp2002.mvps.org/hosts.zip".

Parental Control user list is only checking account list on startup it seems as I just deleted/added a user and main gui didn't refresh. It should refresh when the main gui window is opened again and not only when Adguard.exe gets started.

In White/Blacklist it is possible to enter an empty site and therefore the nice button "Add site" is not shown.

BTW is it possible to set different levels of Parental Control for different users?
I also hope the typos are fixed soon I reported in my Translation ticket.
