I think the typos should be corrected. Typos, especially ones that have been around for a long time, sends a message that the developers don't polish their product.

My 1.29 Rubles.

hi,

I've recently purchased a licence and I'm very happy with it.

I'm using Adguard 6.0 Alpha. the new gui is nice even if some options are missing, but it's quite normal anyway. ;)

just two small things :

- like someone said before, for now the software is quite hard to use with a touchscreen. some lists do not scroll when swyping with fingers, some do. popup buttons (with ? character on it) are very hard to activate, and the popup immediately disapear when lifting fingers. I hope next revision will be better for this aspect.

- when WFP is enabled, my bandwith is a bit reduced :

WFP enabled :

WFP disabled :

is it something that could be improved in future releases ?

regards,

Nicolas - and please excuse my poor english !

EDIT :

when switching filtering settings from auto to HTTP proxy, I can let WFP enabled and bandwith is at full speed.

EDIT 2 : strangely, when in HTTP proxy mode, there are Google ads in Google search results (tested with Chrome and Edge browsers).

Will the new alpha have all features enabled (and hopefully working)?
We have some plans on further extending AG features, but at least "Stealth Mode" will be working in the new alpha.

Thank you for reporting it!

I need more details to file a bug report on this. Which lists exactly?

Wow, where are you?:) It's rather hard to fix this on our side, we just can't reproduce this.

Do you mean proxy filtering mode? Besides switching to proxy mode you should also set up your browser to use this proxy.

hi Andrey, thanks for your support.

actually I purchased a licence for my Surface Pro, I'll take a look tonight to see which window doesn't scroll with finger.

for my bandwith issue, I'm in France and suscibe an optical fiber (real name in english ?) plan. quite fast isn't it ? ;)

because my Surface is connected in Wi-Fi, I didn't see the problem before. I installed a demo version on one of my desktops (I'm planning to purchase two more licences for them) which is connected in Ethernet. I meant proxy filtering mode for HTTP proxy mode. both of the browsers I use (Chrome and Edge) are set up to use Adguard proxy, every other ads disapeared but there are still Google ads in Google search results. could you reproduce this behavior on your side ?

on my desktop PC, my bandwith is reduced a bit when filtering is on "auto" setting. no performance loss when switching to proxy mode, but some ads remain. I should give a try to version 5 of Adguard maybe.

ah, and a suggestion, maybe it should be a good idea to add in filtered apps all Metro apps bundled with Windows 8 and 10 ?

edit :

here's a screenshot of what I meant for Google results :

Sans titre.png

strangely, Google ads appear too on my PC, althought it's Adblock Plus that is set. Google ads are present when looking "fastest cloud storage" for example, but not when typing "test" for example. so I think it's not Adguard the problem, but my querry.

@ouzbed
check whether the 'Do Not Block Useful Ads' is disabled/unchecked to stop seeing those google ads.
also is it only in google searches or https sites everywhere that are not filtered?

Yeah, really fast:).

In proxy mode Adguard cannot filter encrypted traffic so we can't block ads on HTTPS websites.

Yep, we plan to add metro apps.

I remember that I've unchecked do not block useful ads. and no problem with https. but like I said in my edit, it appear only when I type "fastest cloud storage".

If ads are appearing in Chrome on Google sites while Adguard is enabled, it's likely because QUIC is enabled in Chrome.

chrome://flags/#enable-quic

Go there and set Experimental QUIC protocol to Disabled and restart Chrome. As for Edge, it requires the WFP driver to be enabled for filtering to work in Edge - it's always possible it supports QUIC too, not sure.

That might be something worth adding to the bug list, the QUIC thing still exists in v6 Alpha - my workaround is of course disabling QUIC in Chrome.

so I've made a test with Adguard 5.0, and the problem is still the same : with WFP enabled, it eats approx. 18 % of my gigabit bandwith.
