Filtering Log Empty, Nothing Ever In It!

I have checked the "filtering log" in Adguard extension for chrome and never see anything in it. Is it supposed to be working to show what it is blocking, or is it there for future use? If it's supposed to be working, is there a setting I am missing to enable it? Thanks.

<edit> odd, just checked and NOW there are a few things in the log! I'll keep watching it to see it's caturing the filtering. <end edit>

I'll test this on my Mac partition.

Okay, I've tested this. You need to leave the filtering log open in its own tab while surfing in other tabs and it'll log correctly.

oh, thanks for the quick response! At least I know why now, and what to do if I want it....but....

I don't think that's acceptable, having to remember to leave a tab open just to collect filtering - adguard knows what's it is filtering regardless of that tab being opened or not, right? Can it be requested (not sure if you are the 'owner' of adguard or a high level member/moderator!) just to log without having to open a tab? It could be an option, as maybe some do not want a log filling up? Thanks again!

My best guess is running logging in the background would increase memory usage of the extension, but I'm not really sure. You're welcome to make any feature requests you have for the extensions in the feature requests section.
