Having DNS Filtering enabled is slowing down surfing

I'm using the latest version of Edge and version 7.12 of Adguard.

I've noticed recently that my web browsing has slowed down a lot (even with Chrome), and found that if I turn off DNS filtering everything returns to normal.

When I do have DNS filtering enabled, when the slow downs do occur the filtering log is showing a lot being blocked.

Is this expected behavior?
