How to turn on search ads for AdGuard iOS?

Hello.

I installed AdGuard on my phone last week and have been pleasantly surprised at his well things have been going. I noticed yesterday though, that I can’t see any search ads. I’ve found good deals via search ads before on Google, Bing, Yahoo etc. and would like to continue seeing them but I can’t see a way to allow them.

Can you please help with this? I have the free version of AdGuard on iOS, so if this is a feature on the paid version, I don’t mind upgrading to a lifetime license.

Thanks.

There is a filter to enable them back (category other should be).

Unblocking filter is enabled in other category too?

Unblocking filter is enabled in other category too?
I did this:

iOS Settings > Safari > Extensions

Then I have the following options and what I have them set to:

AdGuard - Custom (on)
AdGuard - General (on)
AdGuard - Other (off)
AdGuard - Privacy (on)
AdGuard - Security (on)
AdGuard - Social (on)

Is this correct? And are there some other settings I should be changing?

In AdGuard app you have to enable the filter in Other category.

In AdGuard app there is a Filters/Content blocking menu in which you should see Others. Cannot make screenshot of iOS atm, but should be nearly the same as on Android which you can see below.

Thank you. From the first settings screenshot I shared earlier, I selected ‘advanced settings’ and have attached a screenshot of what I see when I click on content blockers.

It doesn’t seem to be as detailed as your screenshot in Android.

Please press on 'Other' which you see in your 2nd screenshot and check if the filter to unblock search ads is active.
Also in Safari Extension settings 'Other' seems to be disabled according to screenshot.

So I turned it off on Safari extension settings earlier in the day, I must’ve misinterpreted your first response. I’ve turned that back on.

I’ve tapped on ‘other’ in the content blockers section of the AdGuard app, but nothing happens. In fact if I tap any of these on the lost, nothing happens.

Found my iPad and it required a bit of power.

Settings -> Safari Protection -> Filters -> Other -> Filter unblocking search ads and self-promotion

This is on AdGuard for iOS 4.2.0 (704).

Thank you. Where is the Safari protection setting? I’m assuming you’re referring to the iOS Settings app? I only see ‘Safari’ and when I go to settings.

Safari protection is a menu option in AdGuard for iOS (like General/DNS protection/Support/License/About) after pressing the gear icon to open the settings.

Edit: In version 4.3 it was moved a bit.
In AdGuard for iOS press in the bottom menu the 2nd button and then on Safari protection.

Thank you!! Found it in the end.

Unfortunately despite amending the setting I’m still not seeing ads on Google.

I’ve attached pictures of the AdGuard setting and also a Google search in Safari (no ads) and then a search in Chrome which shows ads. I’ve rebooted Safari too, no luck.

You did reenable AdGuard Other module in Safari Content blocker option via iOS settings app?
Safari can take a while until it applies the new rules. Best is to wait in AdGuard for iOS window until all messages at the bottom are gone (e.g. Contents blockers are being updated...).

I just tested and after waiting the time the search ads were shown (waiting time can be several minutes due to nature of iOS).

I definitely switched the other module in iOS settings back on a few hours ago.

I don’t see the other messages at the you’re referring to, the ones that are supposed to go.

In the attached screenshot, should the ‘filters updated’ text under each section show today’s date - is that what you mean?
