How to turn on search ads for AdGuard iOS?

Hi again.

I finally got a response from AdGuard support today:

Google advertising domains are blocked by AdGuard DNS. If you use AdGuard DNS, go to AdGuard settings > DNS and turn it off or switch to a different server.

Unfortunately, I'm not using AdGuard DNS. I checked the AdGuard app and see that DNS protection is a premium feature.

So...I'm back to square one. I've written back to let them know vbut would appreciate any other potential solutions to this problem.

Thanks.

Go to Google, check your logs if you have access and whitelist everything Google. That, or turn off Safari blocking, pay for premium and add oisd to your custom dns filter.

Thanks for this. Can you please elaborate, how do I check the log?

On the second suggestion, are you saying I should turn off the setting as in attached screenshot? I’m happy to buy the lifetime license for it, but I want to first ensure I can indeed get it to show Google/Bing/etc search ads. Can you share some instructions on this oisd option for the custom DNS filter, please?

I believe you need premium to check logs. Try going to the icon that looks like a pizza, third from the left, if you have access, those are the logs.

Oisd is a custom blocking filter. Just search for oisd. Copy the url then paste into the custom dns filter section. After you buy premium. Can’t do this with the free version.

Sorry for the delayed response. Thank you.

Do you mean this OISD site:

Also, I'm a bit confused. I got the impression from the app that there's an in-app option to just allow search ads, which I turned on via Filters > Other > filter unblocking search ads. It just didn't work.

Anyway, what I've just found out I can do is to use the 'allowlist' option to add Google, Bing, DuckDuckGo URLs and now ads show up. I'm not a fan of having to manually add these, though.
