HTTPS filtering ticked, blocks all internet access!

I have adguard working perfectly on my iMac, (DNS filtering adguard plugins in browsers etc) but on any other mac if I tick the HTTPS filter it blocks all internet access. Does anyone know why this may be. I have reinstalled the app reinput my licence key etc . I have checked the set up as exactly the same on the iMac that works. Its very frustrating.

I had another crack at this morning and used an app cleaner to take out every remanent of adguard and then reinstalled the app and it all worked. I have no idea why. Thank goodness for freemacsoft.net/appcleaner/
