Hi,

I would like to know that Adguard Pro is good for a full system wide ad blocking on iOS? So does it work:

  1. for every application?
  2. under both WiFi and mobile data connection?
  3. What about the YouTube app?

Thanks,
Nicole

I can't definitively answer the other two (as I don't use iOS and the answer has likely changed over time) but I can answer the third one...

What about the YouTube app?
Unfortunately no, AdGuard for iOS can't remove ads from or filter the YouTube app. The only workarounds are using YouTube in a web browser or getting a YouTube Premium subscription.

There are other apps AdGuard for iOS can't remove ads from or filter either; Facebook, Instagram and Twitter being a couple examples. I suppose that kinda answers your first question too, hmmm.

Thanks for your answer! Blocking ads on iPhone is much more complicated than on Android. I am still searching for the best solution...

Edit: There was an interesting thing with the Luna VPN adblocker. It was totally blocked all the ads in the YT app too on my iPhone 11 Pro Max but after I changed my phone to iPhone 12 it has stopped working although everything was the same except the Luna server's IP addresses...
