Integration Mode not working in AdGuard for Safari.

Looks like the Adguard for safari extension doesn't work very well with Adguard for Mac 1.1.0 beta version...

1) Safari doesn't have color extensions so it defeats the whole green becomes blue thing.

2) Looks like Adguard took the adblocking into its own hands and those two decided to compete!

Is it okay if you make the safari extension also have integration mode?

This is known, and I believe a limitation of Safari's extensions API.
Thanks and that really stinks :( A question why does Adguard Extension still count up the ads blocked when Adguard for Mac blocks 'em all? Tried loading it with just Adguard for Mac and blocked all of them. So where did those 8 come from? Trackers?

Because it's blocking the ads too (or at least trying to), which in reality is a conflict between the browser extension and the Mac app.

I'd advise removing the browser extension from Safari in this case.

Has the recommendation changed at all on this? It's not obvious if having both the Safari extension and Mac app does anything special. Even things like pausing the extension doesn't seem to have any effect on the app. Is it supposed to?

Even if I disable the extension, I find the only way to pause or turn off the app is by hitting the toggle switch on the app menu. If I use the lower right hand icon to Do Not Block for 30 seconds, it sometimes fixes certain sites, but not others. I actually have to directly disable the app, especially on TV station websites (when trying to stream TV shows).

In any case, should we remove the browser extension if we have the app?

No, it hasn't changed. Due to limitations in Safari integration mode doesn't work between Adguard for Mac and the Adguard Safari extension.

It's best to remove the extension from Safari if you're using Adguard for Mac.
