Is AdGuard SSL https implementation similar to Lenovo/Superfish?

    I understand to filter https based ads, Adguard acts a transparent proxy with its own SSL certificate installed on our machines.

    With the recent concerns over Lenovo/Superfish using this method, I would like to ask if the implementation used by Adguard is similarly affected as highlighted here:

    You are right that Adguard's HTTPS filtering is alike.

    But we don't have such bug as Komodia has. Adguard validates the server certificates and if server cert is not valid - we stop filtering of that connection, so you can see warning from your browser.
