Is this forum active, or should i assume it's now no longer current?

As the title says, only asking because i posted a question on 20th Jan and despite circa 80 views no-one has commented.

Indeed , the last previous question or answer by 'anyone' appears to have been in November last year.

I'm thinking this Forum may have moved in it's entirety to Github, if that's the case then what's the point of the Beta Tester sub-forum?

Fwiw, I've tried to follow what's happening on Github but most of what's discussed there flies right over my head... I'd have thought, and did used to think, one of the benefits of the AdGuard Beta Tester Forums was that people (the normal every day user) could post issues and potential issues in a format that was simple and which could be easily tracked.

Github, imo, at least as far as AdGuard is concerned, is not easy to follow or understand for anyone unless they possess advanced computing skills, even then I'd question if everyone knows all the time what is being discussed.

That's my tuppenceworth said, the mods can make of it what they will.

Github is nice as a bug tracker, but it does not replace the forum.

Also, sorry for the late reply.

It's surely active, hence all the views, however your issue was very specific. Since there was no indication on how to reproduce it, us beta testers can't do anything for you if we don't experience the same issue.

If i knew how to reproduce it i wouldn't have asked in my original question if the AdGuard developers were aware of any issues... the BSOD was very close to the date when MS released the 'Spectre/Meltdown' patch... i put 2+2 together and suspected they might have been linked... if possible i was hoping to rule that out, or as a Beta Tester possibly flag an issue they weren't aware of.

That no-one else has reported the same since i can probably rule it out as a gremlin specific to my PC, add that since i posted my original question i have not had another BSOD it can almost certainly be ruled out as a one-off crash.

That doesn't detract from the fact i am also a Beta Tester, and that if i suffer a catastrophic failure such as a BSOD that can be directly attributed to AdGuard that i shouldn't report it just because i don't know how to reproduce it.

The BSOD named an AdGuard file as the cause of the crash, i saved the minidump file in case further investigation was required... whether reproducible by you or anyone else was not my concern... what did concern me somewhat was that it was highly unusual for the Beta Tester Quality Control thread to be devoid of posts by the AdGuard developers... number of views means nothing if anyone with insight or knowledge is no longer following the thread and is willing to answer questions.

All moot since Avatar has interjected and re-assured that this Forum is still active... that said, i would say to Avatar, Github isn't for me, i don't like the layout and i can't follow most of the discussions, in here it is a relatively simple layout with relatively simple questions by beta testers... Github may be great for 'bug tracking' but i strongly doubt that's what 99% of your beta-testers or paying customers have signed up for, let alone understand what they see when they go there.

Your simple approach has worked well for you so far, don't go all corporate and abandon your grass roots ;)

I didn't mean that, I just gave a possible reason as to why other beta testers haven't responded. You should most certainly report issues like these!
