If I block the ad with Bock ads on this website -command like this:

The ad is gone, BUT when I refresh the page, the ad is back on its place?

I don't see ads when using only the English filter and the user filter. I'm thinking the problem lies in one of the filter lists. One thing you can try in order to narrow down which filter list is causing this issue is by disabling each filter list one-by-one and refreshing the page.

Thanks Boo Berry! I'll give it a try.

May I ask (if this is not asked before) what's your filter setup?
Edit: nevermind, I just checked your signature that was not visible by default.

Just the English filter and the user filter. In your case I'd say you have too many filters activated which *can* cause conflicts like this. For example I'd advise against using both the English filter and Easylist at the same time, though you can if you desire. Reason being is the English filter is derived from Easylist with additional rules added by the Adguard filter developers. The Spyware filter is known to cause issues at times, which is the main reason why I don't use it anymore but it's up to you and I do recommend using it even though I don't. If you do encounter issues with it, just report them. The Experimental filter is used as a testbed for filters before they're pushed to the main filtering lists. Because of that, I wouldn't personally recommend using it unless you want the latest and greatest filtering rules.

Other than those, you should be fine. :)

Thanks for the help. I did not help for me. I also tried with old api and dynamic filtering disabled. I never found a combination that would remove the ads in that forum. Also local blocking rules did not take effect over restart. I must try this add-on again after OS update, perhaps it has something to do with Safari 9.0.3 in Maverics.

I appreciate all the help you've given in this thread.

Looks like unblocked google ads, but I can't reproduce this on my side.

What I suggest:
1. Try clearing user filter and whitelist? Does it help?
2. Try reinstalling AG extension and use it with default settings. Do you see any ads on macrumors?

Can't reproduce too.
Also you can disable "optimized filters" option.
