There's Sponsored Results ads on the bottom of eBay.com searches.

EDIT: There's various ads and placeholders on eBay not blocked. Easylist uses the following rule for Adblock Plus in Firefox to block all of eBay's ads, but doesn't work when used in Adguard:

Code:
|||ebayrtm.com/rtm?

Doing some tests with just the English filter enabled (user filter disabled) and thought I'd post about some ads not being blocked along with rules to block them where acceptable to help contribute.

First off, I'm still seeing sponsored results and links at the bottom of searches and listings on eBay.com, AdChoice placeholders on eBay listings, My eBay, My Account, etc. The following two rules *should* take care of nearly all of them except one found in the Account section of My eBay which in addition to the main two it needs its own specific rule (need to test this more):

Code:
ebay.com$$div[id="rtm_div_"]
ebay.com$$div[id="rtm_html_"]
my.ebay.com###myEbayBody > DIV:first-child > TABLE:first-child > TBODY > TR > TD
eBay's sub-site Half.com has a few unblocked AdChoice placeholders too. This rule *should* block one of them on the main page, but there's others that need blocked:

Code:
half.ebay.com###ad_300X250
Like their sister site Neowin, there's unblocked placeholders on right side of http://www.neogamr.net/ - this rule should work:

Code:
neogamr.net$$div[class="banner-"]
Speaking of Neowin. There's a top ad placeholder on both Neowin and Neogamr that's not blocked. The following rules for each site should take care of it:

Code:
neowin.net###billboard_wrapper
neogamr.net###billboard_wrapper
There's some ad placeholders on Yahoo.com that aren't removed/blocked (also for Russian filter users the ###ad-west rule screws with the Yahoo homepage, this has been an issue with Easylist in the past and has since been removed). According to Adblock Plus this rule should take care of the top placeholder:

Code:
yahoo.com###ad-north-base
Also, there's black ad placeholders on http://www.unexplained-mysteries.com/ which can be taken care of with these rules:

Code:
unexplained-mysteries.com$$div[style="height:250px;width:300px;background-color:#000000"]
unexplained-mysteries.com$$div[style="height:4px;overflow:hidden"]
There's anti-adblocker code and various ads and placeholders on the http://gamecopyworld.com/ - these rules should at least take care of the anti-adblocker code:

Code:
gamecopyworld.com##[aria-labelledby="ui-dialog-title-adbd"]
gamecopyworld.com##.ui-widget-overlay

Thank you! I have added some of these rules to the english filter.

Also there are some rules that are too "dangerous" and may cause false-positives:

1. my.ebay.com rule. We will try this rule instead:
Code:
||main.ebayrtm.com/clk?RtmClk
2. gamecopyworld.com - I didn't see any anti-adblocker scripts there. Can you post a screenshot?

P.S. If you like creating your own filter rules you can contribute to our experimental filter - http://forum.adguard.com/showthread.php?578-Adguard-Experimental-Filter

Excellent, that eBay rule works great! I'll create an account in a few days to contribute to the experimental filter. In the meantime I'll post some other random ones here until I get the time to do so.

There's a FEATURED PARTNERS section on the left side of Yahoo.com which I consider an ad of sorts, so here's a rule to nuke that eyesore...

Code:
yahoo.com###u_2588582-p
On Cryptomundo.com there's a few ads, placeholders and other goodies to take care of (these can probably be improved in general, just quickie rules), but these really need to be improved and greatly tested in Internet Explorer for compatibility since Cryptomundo is a site that filtering will fail on pretty consistently. This first set of rules *should* take care of the ads...

Code:
||cryptomundo.com/ads/*
cryptomundo.com$$div[style="margin:auto;width:300px;height:auto;overflow:hidden;"]
cryptomundo.com$$div[style="margin:auto;width;160px;height:600px;"]
cryptomundo.com$$div[style="width:728px;height:90px;"]
Now, this should take care of the ad placeholder on the bottom of the Cryptomundo blog and at the bottom of blog entries, again needs IE testing...

Code:
cryptomundo.com##DIV#square300
Next, there's the Ad placeholders on the right side of Cryptomundo which are wasting space, these require specific rules to take care of them (not sure if this can be improved or optimized). This one comes down to personal preference if they want to remove those Advertisement placeholders on the navigation. And of course, will need IE testing...

Code:
cryptomundo.com##UL + UL + H2
cryptomundo.com###link_cats + DIV#users_farbar
cryptomundo.com###feedsbox + #function_box
This rule for Cryptomundo is for those who don't like the large space at the bottom's footer (again personal preference), but this rule does remove the bottom part of the footer with the copyright info and whatnot. Not sure if this one can be improved or not to remove the space but keep the footer intact, and again this can probably be improved and needs tested in IE...

Code:
cryptomundo.com###farbar + * + #footer
The other site that filtering consistently fails in Internet Explorer, Ozarksfirst.com, has a ton of ads on that site. I'm not going to post any I have as I think they can be improved greatly. Any ideas on this one to block all the ads while trying to keep filtering from failing in IE?

For gamecopyworld.com the anti-adblock code I encountered was when using Firefox with Adblock Plus. I just logged the rules down and included them just in case that site detected Adguard too.

Next, some sites that could be whitelisted...

Code:
@@||acid2.acidtests.org^$document
@@||acid3.acidtests.org^$document
@@||html5test.com^$document
@@|http://ie.microsoft.com/testdrive/Performance/FishBowl/Default.html|$document
Looking at the Russian filter since there's some useful rules there even if you're not Russian, I see ###ad-west is listed. This should probably be removed as this is known to cause issues on Yahoo.com and has been removed in both Easylist and Fanboy's list. The topic about the issue the filter causes is here: https://adblockplus.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=8717

Now, these next rules are based on two that I made for a friend of mine that uses Adblock Plus (ported them to Adguard) of an adult torrent tracker that could be added to the Russian filter since it's a Russian site. VERY NSFW indeed!

Code:
pornolab.net$$td[style="padding: 14px 12px 15px 12px; text-align: left;"]
pornolab.net$$div[style="margin: 6px; padding: 8px; border: 1px solid #B7C0C5;"]
Next, some rules for KY3.com. These rules can probably be vastly improved upon.

Code:
halfpriceozarks.com##.DailyDealsWidget
ky3.com##.tabModuleContainer + .module.blurb
ky3.com##.slidingbillboard
ky3.com###middleLeftNarrow .module.blurb.border
ky3.com###promoUtility > .module.blurb
ky3.com###bottomLeftWide + #bottomRightNarrow
ky3.com##.miscAd.cube
ky3.com##.shzGoogleAd
And here's some rules for KY3.com's sister site KSPR.com. These rules can probably be vastly improved upon.

Code:
kspr.com###rightRailTop > .module.blurb
kspr.com###rightRailTop > .module.blurb.border
kspr.com###promoUtility > .module.blurb.border
kspr.com##.shzGoogleAd
TMZ.com has a TON of ads and other annoyances on the site. Probably would need more rules, but here's some helpful rules (the takeover ones don't apply right now, but do work when TMZ overlays their site advertising something)...

Code:
tmz.com##.inline-promo
tmz.com###adpos1-leaderboard
tmz.com###adpos8-leaderboard-bottom
tmz.com###takeover-swf
tmz.com###takeover-skin
tmz.com###takeover-ad
Various rules:

Code:
torrentdownloads.net##.advert_img
about.com###adL
l4dmaps.com###top-promotion-bnr
l4dmaps.com###top-promotion-side
linuxmint.com##.sponsors
linuxmint.com##.ads
linuxmint.com##.sponsors + H3
my.deviantart.com##.tower-ad-header
my.deviantart.com##.promo-text
superherohype.com###leaderboard.ad
foobar2000.org##.adblock

I have added these rules to the english filter.

Btw, you can participate in Adguard experimental filter development.
This filter is developed by users and we periodically move some filter rules to common Adguard filters.

ebay.com$$div[id="rtm_html_"] is causing false positive removals (of Inspired by your recently viewed items and Popular on eBay, based on your recent activity) on eBay's homepage when logged in. Looking into alternate rules or a workaround. :)
