Modern Content Blocker

There's a post about a newer method of blocking ads.

I know Adguard app is better than the extension. What about this "modern" method? How different is it compared to the app?

Is there anything Adguard can implement/learn or it's not necessary at all?

The Adguard for Safari extension already uses the newer method of blocking advertisements (and the old method as a fallback, as far as I know). Adguard for Mac, on the other hand, doesn't benefit from this as it's superior to the browser extensions and isn't limited to using a browser (Safari's) extension API.

Basically what Boo said. Adguard for Mac operates on a deeper level than content blockers, providing significantly more functions and better filtering quality.
