No longer blocking all Ads in Gmail

uyGBSVh.png

I'm seeing ads in the "Social" and "Promotions" tab, the Primary tab remains ad-free.

Google Chrome 61.0.3163.100 (Official Build) (64-bit)

Clean install of AdGuard 6.1.331.1732 with the following filters:

English, Social Media, Annoyances, German

Unblocking "Useful Ads" is disabled, so is the filter.

Everything else is default, WFP drivers, HTTPS protrocol is filtered, not filtering EV certified sites is disabled (so they should be filtered).

Firefox dito. Ads in Promotion are not filtered anymore.
It's still working in IE11 though.o_O

Not reproduced on Chrome and Firefox.

"Your Social/Promotions tab is empty."

It's almost tradition at this point to point out an obvious issue and for Blaz to come along stating that it can't be reproduced ... *sigh* ... every time.

@Blaz If you have no emails in those tabs there's probably a good chance Google won't show any ads inside them regardless.

Well, the issue might be they're pushing out a Gmail update in stages, hence why Blaz (or myself for that matter) can't reproduce the issue. Might also be region-specific.

Do you have an explanation then why it's filtering correctly with IE11? Same Google account, same region, same computer.

Cache? Or Google is serving a different version of Gmail to IE11 (like it seems to for Edge as well)?

It's not the browser cache.
Btw: Ublock is doing a better job and keeps the promotion tab clean in FF. ;)

This is the offending element that no longer is getting blocked inside the "Promotions" and "Social" tab:

Code:
<div class="aKB"><div class="a2q"><table class="F cf" cellpadding="0"><colgroup><col class="aPc"><col class="aOa"><col class="y5"><col class="WA"><col class="yY"><col><col class="yg bie"><col class="xX bic"></colgroup><tbody><tr item="367" itemposition="1" class="aKA D6NH0b yO"><td class="aRA PF"></td><td class="aRA"></td><td class="apU aRA aRE PikpXb"><span id="undefined" class="aRF T-KT zfEjKf aXw" title="Not starred" aria-label="Not starred"><img class="T-KT-JX" src="images/cleardot.gif" alt="Not starred"></span></td><td class="aRA"></td><td class="aRA yX"><img class="a0W" src="data:image/jpeg;base64,/9j/ \\---- shortend for legibility ----\\ //2Q=="><span class="aPd lhksNb b014B   aRC "><span class="a3x">Ad</span><img src="//ssl.gstatic.com/ui/v1/icons/mail/images/cleardot.gif" class="aPe jJBbu"></span><div class="yW aTg"><span class="yP">WAVES PLATFORM</span></div><span class="aPd lhksNb b014B"><span class="a3x">Ad</span><img src="//ssl.gstatic.com/ui/v1/icons/mail/images/cleardot.gif" class="aPe jJBbu"></span></td><td class="aRA" colspan="2"><div class="y6"><span class="aRG">Blockchain</span><span class="y2 aTh"><span class="aRB">&nbsp;-&nbsp;</span>Cryptoplatform for asset/custom token issuance, transfer, trading on blockchain</span></div></td><td class="aRA aN8 bid"><span class="aWY  Jj9ov"><img class="aKD" src="//ssl.gstatic.com/ui/v1/icons/mail/images/cleardot.gif"></span></td></tr><tr item="368" itemposition="2" class="aKA D6NH0b zE"><td class="aRA  aWX PF"></td><td class="aRA  aWX"></td><td class="apU aRA  aWX aRE PikpXb"><span id="undefined" class="aRF T-KT zfEjKf aXw" title="Not starred" aria-label="Not starred"><img class="T-KT-JX" src="images/cleardot.gif" alt="Not starred"></span></td><td class="aRA  aWX"></td><td class="aRA  aWX yX"><img class="a0W" src="data:image/jpeg;base64,/9j/ \\---- shortend for legibility ----\\ =="><span class="aPd lhksNb b014B   aRC "><span class="a3x">Ad</span><img src="//ssl.gstatic.com/ui/v1/icons/mail/images/cleardot.gif" class="aPe jJBbu"></span><div class="yW aTg"><span class="zF">VictoriaHearts</span></div><span class="aPd lhksNb b014B"><span class="a3x">Ad</span><img src="//ssl.gstatic.com/ui/v1/icons/mail/images/cleardot.gif" class="aPe jJBbu"></span></td><td class="aRA  aWX" colspan="2"><div class="y6"><span class="aRG"><b>Fed Up With Fake Dating?</b></span><span class="y2 aTh"><span class="aRB">&nbsp;-&nbsp;</span>Try This. And, yeah, uBlock Origin blocks it without problems.

Same here since a few weeks even with all browsers. Also tried clearing cache and so on but that does not help.

Come on guys solve this, it is an eyesore.
Reproducable on any gmail account on any browser.

Please try this rule, it is based on above snippet and checking with real mails on my gmail account in "Primary Tab":
mail.google.com.aKA.D6NH0b

As I don't have any mails in Social/Promotions I can't check if good emails are hidden too.

Thanks, but that does not work, i am sure Google changes the ads server name dynamically. I get 1 or 2 ads lines in my social / promotions. There are no ads from google in the Primary.
Ublock removes them, but i would rather just have one ads blocker running.

Without being able to reproduce it and further code samples it is a bit difficult.

Well the adguard team surely must have access to a full gmail account with emails everywhere ?
It was working before for quite some time.

I wonder what's wrong, I can't see those ads with AG enabled (but I do see them once AG is disabled).

Guys, do you start seeing them right away or does it take some time for them to appear?

Those ads are visible right after login. After clicking them away the are back instantly when reloading the page.
This behavior started in the beginning of September. Ublocks cosmetic filter was always able to remove this annoyance.

I updated to 6.2.424.2123 beta and updated all filter lists and I'm not currently seeing the ads any more. Could be a mere coincidence, though.
