Sometimes (not always) when Adguard is updating itself with new filters my browsers can't connect anymore. When disabling Adguard it works again.
This happens when all filters are deactivated, one month ago I had the same issue with WPF driver enabled. Therefore I disabled it that time, but now the same without the driver enabled.
Same with disabled Internet Security option in Adguard or disabled Extensions.

The issue happens in all of my browser then. Ping is working, even did ipconfig /flushdns. After reboot it works again.
Adguard log doesn't say anything in detailed form when activating it and testing it. Windows error log doesn't have anything useful, only informations, no errrors/warnings.

    Log files from Adguard attached

    Adguard-Version 5.10.1183.6160, rest in signature.

What type of error does the browser show when it can't connect?

    It is just timing out.
Yesterday after I had that problem complete internet was broken, so probably an incompatibility with some network driver from VSO downloader (had the issue with completely no internet again) and then I removed the VSO downloader completely along with a Japanese VPN software.
    Will monitor the issue.

So far it didn't happen again, have to monitor it.
Last time it was about 1-2 month ago before this one, therefore problem to know if fixed or not :(

Sadly happend again (this time with WPF driver) :(
    "Sending request to" in browser.

EDIT: Just started up my Adguard in VMWare and websites are working through NAT (guest machine). But sadly currently when Adguard is active in my host machine it is not working.

EDIT2: TCPView shows for a new connection:
    iexplore.exe TCP comp-name 23539 www.t-online.de http ESTABLISHED

    Blaz,

would you have a look for the page source of your 'blank page'? Maybe it's similar to my challenge with some sites that just don't (appear to) load (see edit of 1st post).

edit: also: Do you use 'normal' Version in VM and BETA where it's happening (using BETA myself bc of lacking SSL security in normal version),

As it is just "sending request to" and then nothing, it is just timing out. Using the same config in VMWare as in host machine (just less user filter entries)

Nothing suspicious in the log file.

I think there's some kind of a deadlock in the filtering engine.
Need to know precise timing so I can check in the log file what was going on at that time.

Have you tried restarting ESS protection at that time?

I tried to disable the Firewall part of EES, but no success with Adguard then.
Complete shutdown and restart of EES is more complicated and therefore didn't do it.

Problem of this issue is the reproducibility.

Do you have "Scan SSL" enabled in EES?
Could be the cause of this issue.

Would have to check when I'm back at home (in about 9-10 hours), but I think yes.

That's bad. It's hard to troubleshoot in the current version.

We will extend logging in the next version in order to make this issue traceable.
