Some security software that require the entire installation\update\upgrade run sequence to be digitally signed all the way through are blocking Adguard setup and .tmp files because they are not signed.

Please sign all Adguard associated files including setup and .tmp files.

@HJLBX you mean AdGuard for Windows, right?
Yes

@HJLBX Out of curiosity, what is this software?
Software restriction policy and whitelisting software that require all files to be digitally signed including update\setup and tmp files executed from User Space. This has been standard industry practice for decades, but evidently no one ever bothered to report it to you until now. SRP softs don't do parent checking, they just enforce the policy regardless of the parent. For a single example, AppGuard. There are others.

@HJLBX we believe that all our files that need to be signed, are signed. But we are willing to hear your point of view and reconsider ours if we find it сonvincing. Can you please give us specific examples of files that you think have to be signed?

I went back and checked the policy. The policy was ignoring digital signatures. I adjusted the policy and Adguard's installation files were allowed. So it was a mistake in the policy and not a problem with your update files. Sorry for the bogus report. At least you have a confirmation that your setup and tmp files are signed all the way through.
