Wy els should i use AdGuard?
Because one of this listed Sites with four Letters on red Background, ist without blockers not useable!
You have to understand, because of the German court ruling (and AdGuard being an EU company) that posting filtering rules for any of those paywall sites *could* be enough for AdGuard to be sued. While the rules *may* not apply to the paywall portion (and just the anti-adblock portion), you have to remember they're using anti-adblock + paywall so the possible legal ramifications are VERY real in this case - they could sue for bypassing their anti-adblock.

This doesn't just affect AdGuard either, it conceivably affects any ad or script blocker (e.g. Adblock, Adblock Plus, uBlock Origin, Ghostery, etc.) as well. So it's best to tread carefully for the time being to avoid any possible litigation.

https://www.horizont.net/medien/nachrichten/Nach-Schlappe-im-Adblocker-Rechtsstreit-Axel-Springer-reicht-Verfassungsbeschwerde-ein-166444

"Im Streit um Werbeblocker im Internet ist Axel Springer vor dem Bundesgerichtshof (BGH) gescheitert. Der I. Senat sieht in dem Angebot des Werbeblockers Adblock Plus des Anbieters Eyeo keinen unlauteren Wettbewerb und auch keine rechtswidrige aggressive Geschäftspraxis."

Google-Translate:

"In the dispute over ad blocking on the Internet Axel Springer has failed in the Federal Court (BGH). The I. Senate sees in the offer of the Adblock Adblock Plus of the provider Eyeo no unfair competition and also no illegal aggressive business practice."

In terms: The judges said, that using AdBlocker are legally allowed. hehe :)

The court said the usage is allowed, but the site owner can put up such paywall. Therefore we are not allowed to circumvent it.

The case is here not about to circumvent the paywall. They're also offering articles as a FREE content, there you doesn't need to pay for. And they're also blocking those FREE ones, that's the case here. And the "main-judge" said, that you MUST have access to free content, even with using AdBlockers. All the time before, as i used your AdGuard, i were able to read the free content. And for the "Bild+" articles, as example, there you have to pay for, it doesn't got touched by your blocker. I doesn't need to read the paid ones anyways, only the free ones. lol

I hope, you understand now a little more. :)

Very best regards.

Let me rephrase, the court in Karlsruhe said the site owner can setup an anti-adblock page which is some kind of paywall as you can buy your way in back.

But it's NOT a paywall. If you go to bild.de, and have an adblocker active, you are kindly asked to deactivate it in order to view the content. However, you do also have the option of buying a subscription for BILD+ content. The ruling makes no sense.

Since you can buy yourself free, it is considered a paywall.

Some articles are marked with "BILD+" but you can still view a lot of the content without having to pay. A paywall is when you can only view ALL content after having paid for a subscription. This is not (yet) the case with bild.de

since today... (8th November 19) Bild.de successfully implemented an anti-adblock script again... site cannot be accessed via adguard anymore.

PS: zero tolerance custom filter is active, but maybe outdated?
