I've noticed something interesting, if a web browser is forced to use a specific proxy(for example by pointing it towards tor or other proxy software), Adguard is unable to filter ad traffic. is this by design or is it something that can be remedied ?

Adguard intercepts only system-wide proxy traffic at the moment.
If you set up proxy in particular browser settings -- Adguard cannot detect it.

thanks for answering, when you say that "Adguard intercepts only system-wide proxy traffic at the moment." does it mean that it is possible down the line to be able to intercept all browser traffic regardless of individual proxy settings ?

Yes, we plan to intercept all browser traffic, even HTTPS (option disabled by default).
