Question and an issue with AdGuard

I just installed Adguard for iOS and I was wondering what's the most optimal selection of filters that I should activate? I've left the default selection as it is now and it seems to be doing a good job already but I wondering if there's an improvement in turning on more filters.

One issue I noticed though is when turning on and off filters or adding your own ones, the notification would cover up the whole screen. It displayed fine once in landscape mode on my iPad mini 2, but it broke again when I turned the screen to portrait mode and has stayed broken since. It also does the same thing on my iPhone 6.

Here is how it looks like on my iPad:

Yep, the bug is on iOS 9.1. The version with the fix is almost ready (it's on review for 7 days now so soon it will be available).

Thanks for the update (1.0.1).

BTW, how far is a VPN blocker for iOS from being released? You know, the current version blocks only Safari but nowadays who cares about Safari. There are many better browsers out there which have better receipt from users and are widely used. Unfortunately those browsers cannot benefit of this Adguard. Also RSS readers with inbuilt browsers are quite popular and they are also off the game with this version. So, the sooner a VPN blocker is out the better.

Thanks!

What can I say for sure - not this year:(

We still have some issues to fix and improve in current iOS version and it takes pretty much time.

Can Adguard for iOS block also in Safari View Controller? If so, it would mean that applications using this Controller can be filtered as well.

According to what I read about it, content blockers should be applied to SafariViewController also.

I know this is an old thread, so I'm sorry if I should have created a new topic. I didn't see the original question actually answered. What are the optimal filters to enable in iOS, in general. Are the defaults sufficient?

This is an experimental feature that disables generic cosmetic rules (generic means "not restricted to a specific website"). I suppose defaults are sufficient though.

I think you misunderstood me. I was simply requesting advice about which filters should be enabled optimally.
Oh, sorry, i was in hurry and misread a few words:(

It really depends on what you want to be blocked.

My usual setup is English, Spyware, Social, Safari, Annoyances filter and Mobile ads filter.
