I love Adguard, but have run into a problem.

I recently upgraded computers, and after restoring from Time Machine, I believe the version number may have change in-between for Adguard, anyways, I now cannot turn on Adguard it gives me this error.

Screen Shot 2015-05-27 at 10.17.54 AM.png

I have tried a clean removal of the program, deleting all plists etc.

This was happening on 10.10.3, and I am now on 10.10.4 public beta and both do the same thing.

I would love to start using my paid subscription please. Any ideas?

Run this in terminal

sudo chown -R root:wheel /Users/(fill in here)/Library/Application\ Support/com.adguard.Adguard/kext/

Mine has the same problem. Im using 10.7.5 (Lion).

The kext file is located in /HD not in /user. I try to change permissions using terminal and says there is no such directory.

I try using Finder and changing permissions myself (to read/write) but when I open the app, it asks for administrator password and it reverts back to only read, thus showing the error message.

Any help please?

@nospame we need you to send us a message to support right from the app. Please check the 'send a report' checkbox, and then post here your user ID (you will receive it in the autoreply message).

I am sorry, threre are some problems with identifying your ticket. Did you use the same email that you registered on this forum with? If not, please PM the correct email.
The email is different.

I already received an reply saying Adguard does not work in 32bit systems. That info should be on requirements.

Yeah, that should be in the requirements (and that it won't run on pre-Intel PowerPC Macs).

There is this line on the product page on adguard.com:
— Is supported in all OS X versions from 10.7 64-bit and higher.
But I guess it can be made more clear, or put in a different place. We need to think this out.

Perhaps an error message when attempting to run Adguard on a 32-bit OS X system and/or pre-10.7 system would help as well? I'm assuming, of course, there isn't one there already.
