Ads on the website pff.de are "div img". Are not removed automatically. When trying to block manually (opening Adguard, "Element blockieren/Auswahlmodus")" and click on the ad/image, the Adguard blocking menu (with size choice and block button) disappears and different website (ad) opens.

With Adguard for Safari, there is also no automatic removal, but the above manual problem does not exist.

Did you enable German filter and update? I cannot see an ad there. A screenshot and your filter list would help too.

When you click on/inside the green frame, the Adguard blocking menu appears for a fraction of a second, then a new (ad) website is opened, probably the reason for the disappearance of the Adguard menu (as to be blocked frame is gone).

    Additional info:
When I stop Adguard, I find different ads (all by google) which are more or less at the same places of those I see when Adguard runs.
Maybe the problematic ads are situated directly on the website, not coming from ad-webservers with blockable addresses?

Only see a left-over, please try this rule in user filter:
    Code:
    pff.de##.wcfAdLocation

    Good morning,
have news - hope this not a simple coincidence - after I have updated yesterday evening Mojave to 10.14, the problem seems to be solved...
I have also added the filter rule you provide above, tested the result, everything‘s seems to be OK with and without.
Maybe Apple modified something in Safari or the interface to Adguard in the frame of the 10.14 update?
