Hi, I have a problem using the Adguard Browser extensions for Safari. On certain websites, memory use of Safari goes through the roof within a few seconds, reaching multiple Gigabytes (4-5 GB). The browser then becomes unresponsive, and shows a warning at the top similar to "This website is using a lot of memory, close it to make your machine responsive again" (forgot the exact wording).

When I close the respective tab, memory use of Safari drops instantly, and the machine becomes responsive again.

This problem completely disappears when I disable AdGuard either via unchecking all Adguard-related boxes in Safari preferences, or by disabling AdGuard via the menu bar icon. AdGuard is the only extensions I use in Safari.

One website where this problem consistently appears repeatably is www.spiegel.de (for example, https://www.spiegel.de/politik/ausland/brexit-eu-warnt-regierung-johnson-vor-bruch-von-zusagen-a-35f25f5a-9009-4173-ad0f-f3eeb31e5dec), one of Germany's main news websites.

Is this a known problem and is there any way to fix it?

Thanks!

Ironically, I now saw that the same memory leak happens on this very page:

Any ideas?
