"Too many filters enabled. Safari cannot use more than 150000 rules in one group”

I have just started getting an error on my mac "Too many filters enabled. Safari cannot use more than 150000 rules in one group”

I am running AdGuard for Safari Version 1.11.7 (220) on macOS Monterey Version 12.6

It has been running fine until yester afternoon.

I haven’t changed anything.

Any ideas?

Likely some filters received a big load of rules, so it is above this limit. If you have enabled EasyList, please disable it (already included in our Base filter).

Thanks that was already disabled. Just worked it out. It was the Chinese Language Filter (as below in case anyone else has the same problem) - have disabled it, and all is fine now

That filter alone has about 27k rules, so if a few big ones are enabled, it sadly can cause that restriction by Apple.

Hi there. I have the same issue. How do I go about disabling the specific filter? As I disabled "Other", it gave me a warning saying that one of the filters is disabled. Thanks for your help.

You can disable filters in Safari Extension when you open the specific Filter group (which are shown in your screenshot).

First screenshot was not visible before. Please try to disable other module, wait a bit and reenable.

Please note you do not really need DNS filter when normal base filters and tracking protection filters are enabled.
