About 1mbps if lucky, I have to turn it off when downloading. How much do you get with Adguard?
Yes it is VPN mode, and atm it is 5.1.1, also to mention I turned off filtering in apps and now the speed is back to normal, for apps not the browser, chrome.Hm, device is not bad, shouldn't be like this.
So you use VPN filtering mode, right? One more thing I forgot to ask: what's Android exact version?
We are currently working on a fix for the same problem (download speed drop) for HTTPs connections. You can see a task regarding it here:Yes it is VPN mode, and atm it is 5.1.1, also to mention I turned off filtering in apps and now the speed is back to normal, for apps not the browser, chrome.
Ah very good, thanks for replying, have a very nice day.We are currently working on a fix for the same problem (download speed drop) for HTTPs connections. You can see a task regarding it here:

We suspect your issue is all about this problem.
Ah, that is important indeed. HTTPS filtering is a CPU intensive operation and it may slow everything down indeed (especially when large files are downloaded from a secured domain).Yes HTTPS filtering is enabled.
Yes that's OK, I just turn it off for apps if I'm downloading anything large atm so all is good.Ah, that is important indeed. HTTPS filtering is a CPU intensive operation and it may slow everything down indeed (especially when large files are downloaded from a secured domain).
Can I do that? Whitelist certain apps?Usually apps do not download anything huge from HTTPS addresses, but it seems that Google has made an exception in your case.
The easy way to fix it is to turn ad filtering off for downloads manager app (as all downloads are done through this app).
Yeah, of course, there is a "https apps exceptions" list you can edit manually. Can I do that? Whitelist certain apps?
Thanks again for your time, I really appreciate it, love adguard.. Best ad blocker in my opinion.Or you can turn off ad filtering through "firewall" apps settings. I suppose in your case it should be enough to do it for downloads manager app.
