War in Ukraine / New false news laws in Russia

With regards to the war in Ukraine and the new false laws being brought into effect in Russia how does that affect any dons servers you operate that use from the uk?

Are you obliged to provide data to the Russian government and how secure is your service with the clampdowns going on?

Ok that makes sense, I did wonder as Adguard was originally founded in Moscow. What I am curious at is how secure and safe are your DNS servers to use that are based in Russia?

I understand you have nothing to do with the Russian laws but if you have a server in Russia surely you would have to follow laws governing where your servers are based and with the false news laws coming into effect I am concerned about how your service might be impacted if at all?

Official response from AdGuard to SetApp allegations

AdGuard doesn't send any requests to RU servers and works in compliance with GDPR. However, we are ready to reimburse all affected users.
