Whitelist Apps

New Adguard user here, so far I love the app. There is one feature that I think the app needs and that's the ability to whitelist apps from filtering rather than just having an on/off switch for all apps.

If you could add this feature in a future version that would be excellent and I'll likely purchase additional copies for my other devices.

Thanks!!

Hi!

There're two possibilities how you can whitelist app.

1. You can do it through Firewall. Go to the app details screen and disable ad filtering there.
2. If you use Android 5 or newer, you can completely exclude an app from the VPN.

To do this:
a) Go to Settings - Advanced - Low Level
b) Find pref.net.exclusions there
c) Add the app's package name to the list.

Hi,

I'm on AdGuard v2.10 and where is this App Manager? I'd like to exclude an app from being filtered and I can't do that. I'm on premium version. This is very important features, it shouldn't be so hidden!

Hi, disabled ad blocker for Spotify but adguard keeps using mobile data.

For instance Spotify uses 50 mb and adguard uses 20mb.....

How to fully disable ad block for Spotify and keep adguard on for other apps??

Using a phone with android 4 and other with android 6...

@fokemon It's pretty probably not AG itself but any background process(es). 2 ways to know the (real) culprit:
- see Filtering Log whilst using Spotify
- start using Spotify at 0:01 midnight, then see Apps Mgmt

Any other choice or location? Android 8.1

Confused what actually you want to do? But you can use the built-in firewall if you want to bypass Adguard. Load Adguard < Hamburger (three bars) < App Management < APP NAME < Adguard Protection.

I do this for several games that come preinstalled with ads for freebies.

Hope that helps!
