Windows UI sluggish requiring AG restart every 24 hours

This is a 'semi-long-term' (i.e. many weeks.. possibly months) issue I've been encountering with AG.

The symptom is that I go to use my PC (running 24x7) , often first thing in the morning or in the evening after not being used for a while, and I find mouse movement is sluggish and 'stuttery'. Application windows are often slow to respond to being clicked on. In general the whole Windows UI is sluggish.

I Right-click the AG icon and exit, and then restart, and everything is good again.. for approx. 24 hours. Then same thing over again.

I am using Windows 10 x64 Fast Ring builds (currently 16251) and AG beta builds (currently 6.2.379.1984).
Filters and Config as per sig.
In Filtered Apps, I am notably filtering uTorrent (utorrent.exe and utorrentie.exe) to block ads in the free version.

I appreciate using beta software throws many variables into performance degradation issues, but is this something with a more obvious cause? E.g. could filtering uTorrent be the critical factor causing AG to degrade and thus slow down the entire Windows UI?

My torrent traffic isn't what I'd call massive, but for specifics, almost all of my torrents are from the same private site, ~100 torrents seeding but upload data capped at around 64kpbs so there is rarely more than 3-4 active at any one time.

Is there anything you would want to look at on the AG side to investigate this performance degradation issue? In case of interest, I have attached a zipped copy of my Logs folder taken a few minutes after restarting AG this morning to remediate this issue.

Why did you mention uTorrent? Does the problem go away if you remove it from the filtered apps?

I mention it because it is the only application I have added to the Filtered Apps list and being a torrent client, is going to have significantly more network traffic than most apps. As such, I mentioned in in case the devs say "no, definitely do not filter a torrent client. AG is not build to filter that volume of traffic" or some such.

I'm happy to remove from Filtered Apps list and live with ads in it and monitor to see if symptoms go away and report back.

There's ways to get rid of the uTorrent ads. When I last used it (long time ago, since switched to qBittorrent which IMO is better) I used Pimp My uTorrent to remove the ads, and it worked pretty good. Plus any ads not removed you can read about on the uTorrent forums on how to remove them easily.

Good tips - thank Boo! :)

OK, So I had removed uTorrent from Filtered Apps list and it took less than 24 hours for same symptoms to appear as per my original post.

Any thoughts or suggestions on how to next to troubleshoot this issue? If I was to initial a dump of the AG service process via Task Manager would there be value in investigating via a debug of the dump to see what is going on in AG at the time the symptoms are being displayed?

So it was not uTorrent after all?

Yes, that's exactly what I wanted to ask. It'd be better to have both dumps: service and UI, and the program log.

After 24 hours, the symptoms are less severe, but still there. If I leave the system for 2-3 days I end up at the same point of symptom severity as before when I had uTorrent explicitly being filtered.

Copy that. Will grab all of those pieces of data when the symptoms are severe and post when I have them.
