For a brief period yesterday as I'm in the UK I'm sure Youtube Ads were blocked, but they are back up today, so whatever you done do that lol, anyway keep up the good work.

Yeah, sometimes they're blocked, sometimes they're not. Like mentioned in the other topic it's because there's two different video players - one where ads can be blocked, and one where they can't yet and it seems to be random. It's an ongoing issue.

Yes, there is a task about that problem:
https://github.com/AdguardTeam/AdguardForAndroid/issues/621

It has high priority among other tasks, we understand that blocking YouTube ads is super important.

However I still have not found how to block ads in the second player

For now there are two solutions:
1. Use old YT app (April)
2. Clear YT app data every time
