If I understand you correctly, you're just forcing Android to stay with the older version of the YouTube app? I don't recommend doing that, for security purposes. The current root-only feature in Adguard for Android to deal with YouTube apps is clearing the YouTube app's data/cache on every reboot. Sadly, this will only work for a short amount of time until the ads reappear again (it might not work anymore though, haven't checked in a good long while). Also for those staying with an older YouTube app version, it might work for awhile until one day it simply doesn't work anymore.

It's becoming more and more likely ads from the YouTube app can't be removed via Adguard for Android anymore, due to Google pushing out the new player where the ads can't be blocked.

I guess I should create a sticky topic with the apps that Adguard for Android can't remove the ads from, and include YouTube in the list finally. On iOS, Adguard for iOS already can't filter the YouTube app there so it's only a matter of time before it happens on Android.

YouTube app can be filtered by AdGuard for android, with latest version 12.34.55 i see ads with adguard actived, but why i see ads? This program is made for deleted ads! As I already told you, you go in setting>Apps>Scroll down until see Youtube app and open it>i click on deactivates button>restart your device. Next go to store and disable autoupdate after you search youtube app!

Again, Google has been working on a new player for the YouTube app where the ads can't be removed. This is probably the default player now in the YouTube app, hence why the ads can't be removed anymore.

There's a list of apps that AdGuard for Android can't remove the ads from: https://forum.adguard.com/index.php?threads/apps-where-adguard-for-android-cant-filter-and-or-remove-the-ads-from.25182/

I added the YouTube app to that list. It's already the same for iOS and AdGuard for iOS... it can't remove the ads from the YouTube app there either.
