YouTube videos won’t play

Just downloaded the ADGaurd app in the hop of stopping YouTube videos cutting to adverts every two minutes. However, I’ve found a lot of the time the videos just won’t play full stop. I just get that spinning loading circle on the screen (as seen in attached screen shot), and the video never starts to play o matter what I do. Low and behold if I turn off ADGaurd they play fine.
now I’m not saying that ADGaurd isn’t working as such, like I said I’ve just downloaded the app so I suspect I am doing something wrong. But I have jut paid for app upgrade and hate to think I wasted my money.

can someone advise or tell me where I am going wrong, are there settings I should set a certain way?

Go to settings in adguard app then general then advanced settings then low level settings then change background app refresh interval to every one hour (you can set 3hrs too and check for somedays but most probably three hours will work too)
It's actually a problem with the vpn thing i assume
after continuously using vpn for some time u will see nothing is loading until u turn off adguard and again turn on for adblocking

By setting app refresh interval to one hour, it seems my problem which was same as yours (telegram, youtube and messenger has no internet) seems to be fixed

Thus sharing my solution :)

Thanks I will try it, although I don’t use any VPN on my iPad, so don’t think it’s a vpn issue
